Tribal Café: Baguio’s Cozy Cultural Café with a Surprise Twist

Tribal Cafe

“Dine in the ambience of God’s love”

Board exam prep had me stressed out, so when my aunt invited me for lunch, I gladly said yes. She took me to Tribal Café, a hidden spot she’d heard about from friends. The entrance was a bit tricky to find—tucked beside a barbershop—but what we discovered inside made it all worth it.

The café had a warm, peaceful vibe with Cordilleran decor—spears, woven fabrics, and local art adorning the walls. But the real surprise? A live yellow snake in a glass enclosure at the counter! Guests are allowed to step inside and touch it. Scary? Yes. Did I do it anyway? Also yes (and I have the photo to prove it!).

As for the food—tasty, budget-friendly, and perfect for students. No wonder it’s popular among university goers. It was a refreshing break from my review grind, and the peaceful setting gave us time to relax and chat before I headed back to class.
