Celebrating Love Over Dinner at Classic Savory
January 8, 2013

👩🏻💻Story
Nineteen years of marriage—what better way to celebrate my parents’ love than a simple yet memorable dinner out? For their anniversary, we chose Classic Savory, a restaurant that some might not consider fancy, but for us, it felt like a big treat. It might not be fine dining, but for us, it was a meaningful treat—definitely a step up from our usual fast food or karinderya meals.
It was just us, celebrating love in the most ordinary yet meaningful way.
But what’s a family dinner without a little drama? My younger brother, then a picky eater, broke into tears when he realized there was no Jollibee chicken or spaghetti on the table. After a bit of coaxing, he tried the food—and surprise! He ended up enjoying it more than he expected.
Mom and Dad were happy. We laughed, ate, and celebrated their nearly two decades of togetherness. It wasn’t grand. But it was perfect.
☕ What I Ordered
- Beef Stir-Fry with Broccoli—tender beef slices and crisp vegetables, just the way I like it. The beef was flavorful, and the veggies weren’t soggy. It was comforting and satisfying.
- Crispy Fried Chicken – juicy and crispy chicken.
This dinner wasn’t just about the food. It was a reminder that love doesn’t need luxury—it just needs presence. A shared meal, a moment of joy, and a child’s tantrum turned into a happy memory. This dinner lives rent-free in my heart.
