A Spontaneous Family Date at IhawJuan Eat-All-You-Can

IhawJuan Eat All You Can Inihaw

👩🏻‍💻Story

Some of the best food trips happen unexpectedly—and this was one of those moments. It was my day off, and my parents asked me to tag along for some house-supply shopping. Nothing fancy, just a typical errand run.

Then we passed by IhawJuan, a newly opened all-you-can-eat inihaw (grilled food) spot. Hungry and curious, we decided—why not?

Inside, we were greeted by the aroma of marinated meats and the sound of grills sizzling on every table. It wasn’t a large buffet, but it was budget-friendly and more than enough to fill our bellies.

Mom got excited grilling her picks, while Dad, being his usual hilarious self, started roasting (figuratively!) other diners for stacking their plates like it was the last supper. We just laughed. I reminded him it was a buffet—everyone’s allowed to indulge!

He declined to stack his own plate, though. “My stomach’s small,” he said. Classic Dad.

☕ What We Ate

We tried a little bit of everything: pork belly, chicken barbecue, marinated squid, and a few local sides. Everything was self-grilled, so we got to cook it just the way we liked it.

The selection wasn’t huge back then, but we were full and happy. On my recent visit, they’ve added more variety and improved the dining setup. Worth a second round.

It wasn’t planned. It wasn’t fancy. But it was fun.

Having my parents to myself for the afternoon, laughing over grilled meat, and enjoying a simple treat made it one of those unexpectedly precious memories.
