Grilled Goodness and Great Company at Korean Palace, Baguio

๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ปStory
Some dinners arenโt just about foodโtheyโre about coming home.
My college friends finally came back for a short vacation after months of working far from our hometown. While I chose to stay close to home, they pursued jobs in different cities. But distance never changed our bond.
To celebrate the short reunion, they treated me to dinner at Korean Palace, one of Baguioโs popular Korean BBQ buffets. With the cityโs cold weather and our shared love for spicy food, it was the perfect pick.
We laughed through the smoke rising from the grill, shared updates about work, and even spilled a little gossipโjust like the good old days. I didnโt realize how much I missed them until we were sitting there again, together.
โ My faves
- ๐ฅฌ Samgyupsal (Grilled Pork Belly) โ Sizzled on our table grill, wrapped in lettuce, dipped in ssamjangโclassic and satisfying.
- ๐ Kimbap (Seaweed Rice Rolls) โ Flavorful, filling, and addictive.
- ๐ฅ Radish Salad โ Refreshing and slightly tangy; one of my surprise favorites.
We each had our favorites, but mostly we just enjoyed being together again, catching up on each otherโs grown-up lives.
I was burned out. Work was getting to me. But for one night, everything felt lighter. Surrounded by friends who truly understood my struggles, I felt comforted and recharged.
It wasnโt just a reunionโit was a reminder of who I am when Iโm not stressed.
