Grilled Goodness and Great Company at Korean Palace, Baguio

👩🏻💻Story
Some dinners aren’t just about food—they’re about coming home.
My college friends finally came back for a short vacation after months of working far from our hometown. While I chose to stay close to home, they pursued jobs in different cities. But distance never changed our bond.
To celebrate the short reunion, they treated me to dinner at Korean Palace, one of Baguio’s popular Korean BBQ buffets. With the city’s cold weather and our shared love for spicy food, it was the perfect pick.
We laughed through the smoke rising from the grill, shared updates about work, and even spilled a little gossip—just like the good old days. I didn’t realize how much I missed them until we were sitting there again, together.
☕ My faves
- 🥬 Samgyupsal (Grilled Pork Belly) – Sizzled on our table grill, wrapped in lettuce, dipped in ssamjang—classic and satisfying.
- 🍚 Kimbap (Seaweed Rice Rolls) – Flavorful, filling, and addictive.
- 🥗 Radish Salad – Refreshing and slightly tangy; one of my surprise favorites.
We each had our favorites, but mostly we just enjoyed being together again, catching up on each other’s grown-up lives.
I was burned out. Work was getting to me. But for one night, everything felt lighter. Surrounded by friends who truly understood my struggles, I felt comforted and recharged.
It wasn’t just a reunion—it was a reminder of who I am when I’m not stressed.
