Lunch Adrift: Riverfarm’s Unique Dining Over Water
June 3, 2017

Sometimes, the best food stops are the ones you don’t plan for. While cruising through La Union, a glimpse of a restaurant with floating cabanas caught our attention. Curiosity (and hunger) got the better of us—we made a U-turn and decided to give it a try.
🌊 A Unique Dining Experience
Located in Bacnotan, La Union, Riverfarm Seafood Restaurant offers a relaxing dining setup in nipa huts floating on a peaceful lake. The breeze, the gentle sway of the cabanas, and the sounds of nature made the experience so refreshing. At one point, my dad even joked that we might fall into the water—but no worries, it felt safe and sturdy.
🍤 What We Ordered
Of course, we went for seafood—our go-to choice every time we visit the lowlands. There’s something about seafood by the water that makes it extra special. We had our usual favourites: fish, mussels, and maybe a little too much rice. After all, seafood this fresh doesn’t taste the same once you’re back up north.
