My First Zipline Experience at PUGAD Adventure

Growing up, I always dreamed of flying through the air. As a child, I watched people glide across ziplines, imagining the thrill—but budget constraints made it something we could only admire from the sidelines.

Fast forward to adulthood, and finally, I was able to tick it off. During a vacation with my sister, we learned there was going to be a full-day power interruption in our barangay. Instead of staying home, we turned it into a mini-adventure.

🧭 Road Trip to PUGAD Adventure Park

We packed our bags and made our way to PUGAD Adventure Park in Pugo, La Union—just a couple of hours from the city. To make it more special, I invited one of my best friends who, without hesitation, joined in on the spontaneous plan.

The park is nestled in a lush valley surrounded by mountains and rivers, making it an ideal spot for nature and adrenaline lovers alike.

✈️ First Time on the Zipline

PUGAD boasts one of the longest ziplines in Luzon, and they offer multiple levels. We started from Level 3 and worked our way down to Level 1—the lowest, and surprisingly, the most scenic.

The height wasn’t overwhelming, but the bird ’s-eye view of the forest and river below felt magical. With the wind in our hair and laughter echoing in the air, it was more than just an adventure—it was freedom stitched into a few seconds of flight.

🐯 A Mini Zoo Surprise

To our delight, PUGAD also had a small but growing zoo, which had noticeably improved since my last visit. From tigers, monkeys, crocodiles, snakes, and various birds, it added a fun layer to our quick day trip—and gave me new animals to tick off my bucket list!

🏊‍♀️ Cooling Off & Planning the Next Trip

We capped the day with a relaxing swim in the resort’s pool, talking about life and planning our next getaway. As we drove back to the city, the power had returned—but the memories from the day stayed brighter than the lights.

When was the last time you did something that scared you—in a good way? ✨
