You know those moments when something ordinary becomes unforgettable? That’s how I felt the first time I tried fried ice cream, yes, you read that right, at a fun little dessert spot called U-Pick.

What made it special wasn’t just the flavour. It was the way you got to customize your own: from picking the ice cream base to choosing toppings, syrup, and watching it all come together with a sizzling twist.

What I Ordered: Strawberry + Chocolate = Yes, Please

I chose a strawberry base, sprinkled with chocolate chips, and generously drizzled with oozing chocolate syrup. Watching it “fry” on the cold pan was oddly satisfying. It sizzled, rolled, and came out beautifully swirled.

The result? A cold, creamy, crunchy-on-the-edges dessert that hit the spot on a warm summer night. It was sweet, textured, and totally addictive.
