Finding My Voice, One Line at a Time

one poem at a time

This all started with a notebook… and a feeling I couldnโ€™t quite explain.

Iโ€™ve always loved writing, but poetry? I used to think it needed big words, perfect rhymes, or fancy metaphors. Until I discovered free verse, where you can just write what you feel, however it comes out. No rules. No pressure. Just you, your thoughts, and the page.

So I made this personal goal: write 40 free verse poems. Why 40? No special reason. It just felt like a good numberโ€”a mix of challenge and freedom. Some poems are short and sweet, others ramble a bit (like me), but all of them come from real moments: little joys, quiet struggles, random daydreams, and thoughts Iโ€™d usually keep tucked away.

This series is my way of sharing those pieces with you. Not because theyโ€™re perfectโ€”but because maybe, just maybe, youโ€™ll read one and feel a little less alone.

Thanks for being here. Letโ€™s wander through these poems together – one poem at a time
