Cross-Stitching: Threading Passion, One Stitch at a Time
March 18, 2018

Hey there, fellow creatives!
Have you ever wondered what magic your hands could make with just a needle and thread? For me, that magic is cross-stitching—a cozy, calming craft that’s become one of the most meaningful parts of my life.
It all started when I was a kid, watching my aunt patiently pull colorful threads through fabric, creating art one tiny square at a time. I was hooked. From stitching simple shapes and alphabets to finishing full-blown teddy bear scenes, I’ve loved every single loop and pull.
Now, I’m turning each item from my Bucket List into a cross-stitch pattern—a creative way to stitch the trail of my life, one memory at a time.
🎯 Stitch the Trail – a personal journey to complete meaningful patterns, one cross-stitch at a time.
Whether it’s a cozy corner café piece or a tribute to my family, each stitch tells a story, just like my travels, poems, and pasta adventures.

🧰 My Cross-Stitch Starter Kit (Perfect for Beginners!)
If you’re new to cross-stitching or thinking of starting your own stitch journey, here’s what you need:
1. Fabric (Aida Cloth)
My go-to is 14- or 16-count Aida—it’s beginner-friendly and helps keep your stitches neat.
2. Needles (Tapestry Style)
Blunt-tipped and easy to thread, these are a must-have. Bonus: they won’t stab you while binge-watching your favourite shows. I also comes with different sizes, depending on the fabric count you use.
3. Thread (Embroidery Floss)
I use DMC threads for their vibrant colors and consistent quality. Most patterns are coded for them too.
4. Patterns
From cute bears to floral quotes, patterns bring your piece to life. I like black-and-white ones—easier to follow and mark!
5. Scissors
Get a sharp, small pair. And no, your teeth don’t count. 😅
💡 Extra Tip: Keep a pencil or erasable pen nearby for marking progress.

🧶 Why I Stitch
Cross-stitching is more than a hobby for me—it’s meditation, memory-keeping, and creativity wrapped in one. It’s a way of slowing down, breathing deeply, and making something beautiful, one square at a time.
I imagine myself decades from now, still sitting in a quiet corner with a hoop in hand, stitching stories into fabric. 🪡
