Hidden in the Pines: Reign Forest Café

Reign Forest Café

One random afternoon after a fun swim in Itogon, my high school friends and I went on a spontaneous road trip to Tublay. We were just supposed to drop off a friend, but then we spotted a sign: Reign Forest Café. Of course, we had to check it out!

From Baguio, it’s about a 35–40 minute drive (roughly 17 km). At first, we thought it was just a big house, but there it was—a cozy little café above a sari-sari store.

The moment we stepped in, we were greeted by the warmest mountain vibe—wood carvings, woven baskets, and cultural touches that truly celebrated Igorot craftsmanship. It felt like a peaceful, homegrown hideaway tucked in the highlands.

We tried their drinks—super healthy blends that honestly surprised our sweet tooth cravings (haha). They were earthy, refreshing, and definitely not your usual sugar-packed café fare. But we didn’t mind! We laughed, swapped stories, and soaked in the calm.

It was a short visit, but one that felt special—a quiet moment with good friends in an unexpected place.

Update: Unfortunately, the cafe is PERMANENTLY CLOSED. Still, I remember our laughter and fun we had whenever I pass by.
